Alba_Arino“Mom, I want to do that!” This is Alba said to her mother at age six, as she watched Rhythmic Gymnastics on TV in Barcelona. Her mom signed up for rhythmic gymnastics classes  at her school and thus began her rhythmic career. She began training with Club Muntanyenc de Sant Cugat, and participated in multiple National Championships in group. In 2003 she left rhythmic gymnastics to train in fencing, where she joined a team that included future 2012 Olympic fencers. In 2004 she returned to gymnastics, joining the first Spanish Aesthetic Gymnastics to go to a World Championship.

She continued in aesthetic gymnastics for 9 years as part of Club Esportiu INEF Barcelona, recognized as the best team in Spain, and ended up going to multiple World Cups and World Championships, including a 5th place finish in the 2010 World Cup.

While practicing aesthetic gymnastics, she entered college and ultimately received a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Blanquerna College in Barcelona. During this time she balanced her time studying, teaching rhythmic gymnastics in schools, practicing with her aesthetic gymnastics team and doing career-related internships.

Alba is a Safety and Instructor certified professional member of United States Gymnastics Association.
