Deborah RochaDeborah was born in Mexico City and graduated from Royal Academy of Dance, London in classical ballet. At the age of 21 she participated at the National Ballet of Cuba under Alicia Alonso direction. In 2002 she was part of Metropolitan Dance Company in Mexico City. In 2003 she was a special guest dancer with Luxembourg Ballet during their international tour. From 2005-2008 she was part of San Diego City Ballet under the direction of Steven and Elizabeth Wistrich. She performed all classical and contemporary pieces including Bayadere, Swan Lake, Giselle, Nutcracker, Paquita, La Fille Mal Gardee, Coppelia, Rubies and Serenade from Balanchine. After her second baby (the incredible Isabella, joining the equally talented Marcielo) she decided to transition from the professional ballet to develop Pilates expertise. She trained on Romana Kryzanowska method with Janelle Freiman and certified on J.Littlelford method in Pilatesalud Mexico. Debi specializes in training high level gymnasts such as Aria Rodli when she was part of the US National team as well as principal ballet dancers in San Diego and Mexico. She often updates her coaching technique taking courses like Franklin Method and Redcord. Debi has been coaching Rhythmic Gymnastics for the last three years and she was assistant coach of the Regional Champion Level 4 Team in 2012. She currently is Emerald City Academy’s Level 3 Coach as well as the high level team ballet, pilates and conditioning instructor.

Deborah is a Safety and Instructor certified professional member of United States Gymnastics Association.
