Jessica_YooJessica began rhythmic gymnastics at age eleven; the sport was initially a recreational hobby to help her stretch for dance, but her love for the sport grew as she began doing rhythmic gymnastics competitively. She competed in many regional, state and national competitions; her favorite apparatus were rope and clubs, and she placed first in rope in the Junior Olympics. Jessica transitioned to Chinese traditional dancing; she was National Champion and received the Wenhua Art Academy Award in the 10th “Peach and Plum Cup” International Dance Competition in Anhui, China. Jessica has been coaching with Emerald City since 2011. In 2015, she was accepted at UC Berkeley. She continues to enjoys coaching and working with the gymnasts very much and she plans to continue coaching during her summer breaks from college.
Jessica is a Safety and Instructor certified professional member of United States Gymnastics Association.
