Competitive Team Program

Pre-team:

Our pre-team program is designed to prepare students for the competitive team. Students must be willing to devote a minimum of 3 hours per week. This program covers the fundamental rhythmic gymnastics body skills and apparatus techniques. Pre-team is for students and parents who are serious about doing well in the sport of rhythmic gymnastics as well as want to have fun.

Level 3 -By invitation only

Level 3 is the introductory competitive level in rhythmic gymnastics. This program is designed for students who are willing to devote a minimum of 6 hours per week for training. Ballet classes are highly recommended. This program is for students and parents who are serious about doing well in the sport of rhythmic gymnastics as well as want to have fun.

Level 4 – By invitation only

Level 4 is the second competitive level in rhythmic gymnastics. Students must devote a minimum of 9 hours per week for training. Private lessons and ballet classes are very highly recommended.

Level 5 – By invitation only

Level 5 gymnasts must devote a minimum of 12 hours per week for training. Private lessons and ballet classes are very highly recommended.

Level 6 – By invitation only

Level 6 gymnasts must devote a minimum of 16 hours per week for training. Private lessons and ballet classes are mandatory.

Level 7-9 (Upper Level) – By invitation only
Level 7-9 gymnasts must have successfully tested into their respective levels, and typically devote a minimum of 20 hours per week for training. Private lessons and ballet classes are mandatory.

Level 10, Elite and National Team (Upper Level – earned at national championships) 

Level 10 gymnasts are those athletes who qualify for the national championships by finishing in the top 20 at the National Qualifier competition. Level 10 Elite athletes are those finishing in the top 12 places at the National Championships. National Team athletes are selected as the result of finishing in the top 8 places at the National Championships.  Emerald City currently has the only athlete to make the National Team from San Diego.

FIG Junior Group (Upper Level) – By invitation only
High-level athletes born in 2003 who have competed successfully as individual gymnasts. Typically devote a minimum of 20 hours per week for training. Ballet classes are mandatory.

Aesthetic Gymnastics Group (Upper Level) – By invitation only
High-level athletes ages 14-16. Typically devote minimum of 3 days per week of body conditioning and flexibility or training hours required for their rhythmic level with an additional 2-4 hours per week devoted to their Aesthetic routines.
